Perseid Update #2
Finally good news! Spaceweather.com has just announced that in light of low meteor counts over the last 24 hours, the Perseid meteor shower may just be more spectacular than last night! The best news is that Kentucky weather has decided to give us a break with clear skies! Due to the late nature of this notice the HAC will not be rescheduling the previous event, but the Department of Physics and Astronomy will be holding its regular public viewing event tonight at 8pm. Interested individuals should meet in the lobby of Thompson Complex Central Wing on the WKU campus. Again the Perseids are an amazing event and we are now lucky enough to be able to observe it at its best! If you cannot join us on campus tonight, just move as far away from city lights as possible and look up!
